Alias Design by Autodesk

I’m really starting to love using this piece of software. It’s fluid, no fuss modelling that doesn’t restrain you creatively. Best of all it outputs to .STL for rapid prototyping!

Stupid guitar stand took a chunk out of my finger this morning. In need of a definite redesign.

Heads up to Mr Longridge (if he really is reading this)

We’re in definite need of a change in CAD software that we have in school. No offence but we really dont like to use SketchUp for rendering our designs in…and the AutoCAD version we have in school is AutoCad 2001 (if I’m right)

It will be good if we get either of: SolidWorks Premium, Autodesk Maya, Autodesk 3DS Max or Autodesk Inventor. SolidWorks has an awesome photo-realistic rendering feature that’s built in…dunno if thats going too far but it looks a million times better than SketchUp.

Funny how a PD project can go from rubbish to brilliant in the space of a day.

I’m actually gonna hit this deadline if I plan tomorrow carefully.

Period 5: Photograph all models, transfer to PC and memory stick

Period 7+8: Scan in entire sketchbook, do some manips on PS and Illustrator of sketches, and finalise model.

Lets doooo this :D
